Got something to say? Let’s turn your ideas into music! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of songwriting — from crafting lyrics and building a melody to shaping your song with structure and style.
Over two exciting weeks, participants will work together to write and perform an original group song using the classic ABA form. You’ll explore rhyme, rhythm, and storytelling, and finish with a song you helped create from start to finish.
Whether you’re a natural lyricist, a keyboard whiz, or just curious about how songs are made, this workshop will get your creativity flowing — and your voice heard.

Students will dive into jazz and blues improvisation, learning how to use scales, pentatonic note groups, and digital patterns to build their own sound.
