with Michael Carosello

Free

Cherokee Location: May 13, 15, 20, 22

From: 5:00pm - 5:55pm

Age: 18 & Above

Ready to make music in the moment? This high-energy workshop explores the art of improvisation — where creativity, skill, and style come together.

Students will dive into jazz and blues improvisation, learning how to use scales, pentatonic note groups, and digital patterns to build their own sound. You’ll explore how chords and progressions (including the 12-bar blues) set the stage for improvising, and you’ll get to jam with others in fun, piano-based ensemble activities.

With guidance from experienced instructors and plenty of time to explore, this workshop helps you unlock your voice at the keyboard — no sheet music required.

Recommended for students with at least six months of piano study.
