Cherokee: Beginner Piano Camp (age 11-16)

The beginner camps are an introduction to the fundamentals of piano playing (posture, fingering, piano geography) and basic music theory (rhythm, notes, staffs, dynamics etc.). Students also learn about various composers and music genres in a fun and engaging environment. We also provide a light nutritious snack for the campers.
The camp is broken into three 50-minute sessions of piano, music theory and music production, where students learn how to create music using the GarageBand app on iPads.
(Free camp tuition is based on 2021/2022 income guidelines and proof of income.)
