In this four session workshop students will learn the elements of composition:rhythm, melody, texture and form. This workshop will explore telling a story through music, emphasizing the vast array of expressive possibilities as well as instrumentation. By session four students will be able to perform at least eight measures of their own original composition for their classmates and instructors. Piano proficiency is NOT required.

This is a four session workshop in which students will learn write and play the major scales of the Circle of Fifths.  This bootcamp serves to strengthen tmusic reading and understanding of the grand staff as it pertains to the piano.

The Beginner Piano Camps are an introduction to the fundamentals of piano playing, basic music theory (rhythm, notes, staffs, dynamics etc.) music production using the GarageBand platform. students rotate to each session each session which is 50 minutes long.   Students will also learn about various composers and music genres in a fun and engaging environment.   

The camp will provide breakfast bars from 9:30am-9:50am before the camp begins and lunch provided by Operation Food Search will be served daily from 12:00pm-12:30pm. Students are also welcome to bring a lunch which can be refrigerated if needed.

 The “TURN UP YOUR TALENT” Performance Camp offers students a chance to experience different artistc disciplines like in singing, dancing (Jazz & HipHop), drama and art mediums (Drawing, Painting, Ceramics) led by professionals from each discipline who will guide and help them put together a talent showcase for presentation to family and friends on the final day of the camp to show off their new artistic talents.
